Reports you believe
When the structure is right, the P&L stops needing to be explained away.
QuickBooks
A chart of accounts built around your business — not the default template — so the reports answer the questions you actually ask.
The default chart of accounts is designed to suit every business, which means it suits none of them. Items are miscoded, the opening balance equity account never gets cleared, undeposited funds quietly accumulates, and the reports become something nobody trusts.
A few hours of proper set-up at the beginning saves years of reconciliation afterwards.
New file set-up, migration from Desktop or another system, or a diagnostic and clean-up of a file that has drifted. Chart of accounts designed for your industry, products and services mapped correctly, bank feeds and rules configured, sales tax set up against the right CDTFA jurisdictions, and users given the right permission levels.
Then training — recorded, so new staff can watch it later rather than being taught from scratch.

Why it matters
When the structure is right, the P&L stops needing to be explained away.
Good rules and clean feeds turn a weekly chore into a short review.
A file structured for a lender, a buyer or a second location before you need it to be.
The training is genuinely intended to make you self-sufficient, whether or not you keep us for monthly work.
The process
We review the file and produce a written findings report with a fixed quote to fix it.
Chart of accounts, items, classes and reporting structure agreed with you before anything is changed.
The work is done in a copy first, reconciled, and only then made live.
Recorded sessions for you and your staff, plus a written procedures document.
Questions
Still not sure? Ask us directly — the first conversation costs nothing and we will tell you honestly whether this is what you need.
For the overwhelming majority of small businesses, Online — for bank feeds, multi-user access, app integrations and the fact that Intuit's development has moved there. Desktop still wins for a few inventory and job-costing scenarios, and we will say so if yours is one of them.
Usually yes, and it is usually cheaper. We only recommend starting fresh when the historical damage would cost more to unwind than to rebuild — and we show you the comparison before you decide.
We strongly recommend it. Your accounting file is a business record; it should sit on a subscription you control, with us added as an accountant user.
