01The firm
What we actually are
TM Tax Advisors prepares tax returns, keeps books, runs payroll and represents taxpayers before the IRS and the California agencies. That is the whole of it. Advanced planning, wealth and estate work belongs to our sister practice, Herbert Financial Group — so the work here stays squarely in tax and accounting.
We work from one office, on 5th Street in Azusa, for families and businesses across the San Gabriel Valley. A large share of our clients are served in Spanish, and the entire practice — including this website — exists in both languages for that reason.
02The work
What it is like here
- You speak to clients directly. Nobody here works from a ticket queue with the client on the other side of a wall.
- Work is reviewed before it is filed. A senior reviewer looks at returns, which means you have someone to ask and a genuine check behind you.
- Filing season is genuinely busy — January through April is the hardest part of the year and we will not pretend otherwise.
- The problems are real ones: unfiled years, IRS notices, books that arrive in a shoebox, an owner deciding whether to make an S-corporation election.
- Bilingual English and Spanish is valued here, and used every day — not listed as a nice-to-have and then never needed.

Entity returns, financial statements and the review work that sits behind them, for clients whose books are not always tidy when they arrive.

Monthly close for a portfolio of businesses — reconciliations, clean-ups and the conversation with the owner that turns numbers into a decision.
Payroll specialists
Client payrolls, quarterly filings and year-end reporting, with California compliance at the centre — classification, wage orders and sick leave.

The first voice a worried person hears. Scheduling, onboarding, chasing missing documents and keeping engagements moving through filing season.
